vacation memories... Omaha Zoo

It's only fair that I warn once again... this post contains a lot of photos!  :)

We had so much fun at the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, and there was much to see there!  Geoffrey and I each took lots of photos to remember our time there, so there were many to choose from to include here.

Highlights from the day, for us, included watching the zookeepers enter (!) the cheetah exhibit to feed the animals, watching the playful puffins and penguins, the butterfly house, and especially experiencing Lied Jungle.  But the best part, truly, was that the day was spent with family.

And so, here are the photo highlights... Enjoy!

So cute and silly!

This little roadrunner was really amusing, running back and forth on a high ledge.

This was amazing--watching the zookeepers enter the exhibit alongside the cheetahs to feed the animals!

This young gorilla was very amusing to watch.  He was a lot playful
and a bit naughty!  :)  He even interacted with the humans watching
him on the other side of the glass divider.  Geoffrey & Hope
both thought he was pretty funny!

Geoffrey enjoyed snapping these candid shots.  :)

(Even of himself!)

This beautiful photo is another one of Geoffrey's... he is very talented!
Notice the butterfly on the purple flower...  This image is one he captured
outside of the butterfly house.

Aunt Ellen leading Geoffrey across the rope bridge in Lied Jungle.  Go Ellen!  :)
