More from Mullett Lake

From the water where he was swimming with Geoffrey and Hope, Steve spotted this beautiful bald eagle flying overhead.  The eagle landed at the tiptop of this tree right off shore.  It remained on this perch for about 45 minutes or so.  We were grateful for the unexpected pleasure of seeing such a magnificent creature.

It was fun watching Geoffrey and his rock-skipping!  He's actually pretty good, if you ask me.  I cannot skip a rock, and I did try... but Geoffrey seems to be developing a knack for it.

This was one of the rainy days we had at our cottage on Mullett Lake.  Geoffrey was spending the day with my parents, and Steve was working, so it was just me & Hope.  We just tried to stay warm inside.
This was actually a pretty cool day, and the water was c-o-l-d, but Hope & I just had to get in!  Geoffrey said we were crazy, but when I aksed Hope, "Are we crazy?" she answered, "No, we nuts!"

On our last full day up north, we went out to lunch and stopped in briefly at this little park.  Just having fun!

I didn't expect Hope to actually go down this big slide, but with Big Brother Geoffrey to guide her, she had a great time!
Back at the lake, Aunt Linda graciously offered us a ride out on her boat, which we happily accepted!  She has done this for us in our past visits to Mullett Lake as well, and it is always a highlight for us.  This was Hope's first boat ride, and she enjoyed every moment of it!
