vacation memories... our last night

We did a lot (a lot!) on our vacation, and it was a wonderful time to be together and experience new things.  We spent our last night, Friday, in Springfield, Illinois, with plans to visit the historic burial place of President Abraham Lincoln and to spend part of the day at the Abraham Lincoln Museum before beginning our drive home Saturday.

We had certainly been staying in some nice hotels throughout our trip, but Steve was tickled with himself because he had surprised all of us by reserving a two bedroom/two bathroom suite for our last night.  Our hotel suite was so nice that we even opted to just order dinner in.  After our meal, we made time to swim in the hotel pool.  The kids had been enjoying their time swimming in the hotel pools throughout our trip.  It was a nice way to spend our last night on the road.  :)
